For most EPF transactions – including withdrawal claims (Form 19/31), transfer requests (Form 13), and joint declarations – employer signature is mandatory. This can be either a physical signature with stamp on physical forms or a digital signature (DSC) on the online portal. When the signature is missing, expired, or not recognized, your application remains pending. Assist employer in obtaining or renewing Digital Signature Certificate.
If employer uncooperative, file grievance to get EPFO to process without signature or compel employer.
Once signature issue resolved, ensure claim is approved and funds credited.
