What if my employer hasn't deposited PF?

If your employer has deducted PF from your salary but not deposited it with EPFO, you can file a complaint online through the EPFiGMS portal. We help you file and track these complaints. You'll need to provide salary slips, bank statements showing deduction, and any communication with your employer. EPFO can initiate recovery proceedings and impose penalties on the employer.
How do I get KYC approved if employer is unresponsive?

We contact the employer formally via email and written communication to seek approval. If the employer remains unresponsive, we escalate to EPFO for ex-parte approval under certain conditions. With EPFO 3.0, many KYC approvals now happen automatically via Aadhaar OTP without employer verification for compliant accounts.
Can I claim EPF without employer cooperation?

Yes, under certain conditions. For online claims with complete KYC and Aadhaar authentication, employer approval may not be required. For other claims, we can file complaints with EPFO to get claims processed without employer cooperation. However, this may take longer and require additional documentation.
What is ECR and how does it affect me?

ECR (Electronic Challan cum Return) is the monthly return filed by employers showing employee contributions. Errors in ECR directly affect your EPF passbook, showing wrong contribution amounts or missing entries. This can lead to claim rejections or lower settlements. We help identify and correct ECR errors through employer coordination and EPFO complaints.
What is the penalty for employers who don't deposit PF?

Under EPF Act, employers face: 12% per annum interest on delayed payments, damages up to 25% of arrears for delayed deposits, imprisonment up to 3 years for repeated defaults, and prosecution under Section 14 of EPF Act. We help employees initiate these actions against defaulting employers.
