About Medical Advance Service

Under the EPF scheme, members can withdraw a portion of their PF for medical treatment of self, family members (spouse, children), and dependent parents. This is a partial withdrawal (advance) under Form 31, which does not require you to quit your job. Our service helps you understand eligibility, calculate the maximum amount, prepare the application, and ensure quick approval so you can focus on recovery.

📌 Eligible for Medical Advance:
• Self (member) – any illness or surgery
• Spouse, children, and dependent parents
• Hospitalization due to any disease
• Major surgery (including pre/post-operative care)
• Treatment of critical illnesses (cancer, kidney failure, etc.)

Withdrawal Limits for Medical Treatment

Up to 6 Months' Salary

Maximum withdrawal: 6 months' basic + DA or employee's contribution + interest, whichever is lower.

No Service Requirement

Unlike marriage advance, there is no minimum service period for medical advance. Even new employees can apply.

Multiple Claims Allowed

You can withdraw multiple times for different illnesses or recurring treatments (subject to available balance).

ℹ️ Note: The medical advance is calculated on the employee's own contribution (12% of basic+DA) plus interest. The employer's portion (3.67% to EPF) is NOT included. For hospitalization of self, family, or dependent parents, the limit can be higher if supported by medical documents.

No, there is no minimum service period. Even employees who have just joined can apply for medical advance for self or family treatment.
How much can I withdraw for medical treatment? ▼
