EPFO requires Aadhaar-UAN linking for online claims, withdrawals, and transfers. Without Aadhaar linking, you cannot file online claims, and many services are restricted. Aadhaar serves as the primary KYC document and enables e-verification, making claim processing faster and reducing rejection chances.
What if my name in Aadhaar doesn't match EPF?
If your name in Aadhaar doesn't match EPF records, KYC linking will likely be rejected. We help correct the name mismatch through a joint declaration with your employer before attempting KYC linking. This ensures your Aadhaar, PAN, and EPF records all have consistent name spelling, preventing future rejections.
How long does bank account seeding take?
Bank account seeding typically takes 2–3 working days after submission. The process involves: 1) Adding bank details in EPFO portal, 2) Employer approval (if required), 3) Bank validation through Penny Drop verification. We monitor the status and follow up until the account is successfully seeded and approved.
Can I link multiple bank accounts?
No, only one active bank account can be linked to a UAN at any given time. If you need to change your bank account, we can help update it by seeding the new account details. Once the new account is approved, the old account is automatically deactivated.
What is e-KYC and how is it different from regular KYC?
